ECONOMICS AND FINANCE
The department is divided in two groups: the Academic Research and Teaching is organizing the MSc Economics Program and is spezialised in Basic Research. The Applied Research group is mainly conducting contract research for public and private clients.

The Department of Political Science is committed to advanced basic research on the logic of multi-level politics in Europe. It is a distinguished member of the international scholarly community and offers a three-year post-graduate program in political science.

The Department of Sociology offers a three-year postgraduate training in Sociology of Social Practices. Teaching is closely linked to the departmental basic research of contemporary societies and comparative empirical research in special societal fields.
