Dr Oliver Geden is Senior Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) and Research Associate at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS), University of Oxford. With his extensive expertise on climate policy and carbon dioxide removal, Oliver is currently Vice-Chair of the Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In Austria, he is member of the scientific council to the government’s Carbon Management Strategy (CMS). Oliver has been a visiting scholar at the University of California (UC), Berkeley, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich and the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M), Hamburg.
