Marcel Fink is a Senior Researcher in the research group Social Cohesion and Palarization at IHS. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Vienna (2002). Before joining IHS in 2013, he was Assistant Professor at the University of Vienna (Department of Government).
Marcel has a extensive expertise in applying both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and methodological triangulation. His main research areas are welfare state development and social policy, employment development and labour market policies, poverty and social inclusion, as well as welfare attitudes. Marcel has more than 25 years of professional experience in applied research, with numerous research projects carried out on behalf of a large variety of different national and international clients, including the OECD and the European Commission.
