  • Stephanie Reitzinger is a Researcher in the research group Health Systems and Health Policy. Before joining IHS in 2021, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business at the Institute for Social Policy, where she obtained her PhD in economics.  

    Her research interests include the health and social care sector, public health and health economics. Her current work focuses on the economic burden of diseases (e.g. dementia, obesity), economic evaluations of disease interventions (e.g., innovative treatments for breast cancer and atrial fibrillation) and child health. She employs survey, registry and administrative data alongside qualitative methods. By researching the social burden of diseases and potential interventions, she aims to promote public health and provide a foundation for health policy decisions.
