Kunst@IHS: Lines of Inquiry

IHS continues to support young artists as part of the Kunst@IHS programme in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

The current exhibition 'Lines of Inquiry: Exploring, Negotiating, Connection’ shows works by Lisa Breyer, Emilia Lichtenwagner, Shuvo Raquil and Nico Schleicher. Their works are characterized by fine lines that oscillate between personal and collective experiences, explore the boundaries of space and time and open up new perspectives on identity and society.

In an open and experimental approach, current issues and social trends are explored. The pieces create a dialogue between aesthetics and concept that builds bridges and illuminates contrasts. The creative process becomes visible as a constant negotiation and reorganization - a practice in which the negotiation of identity, community and individual freedom can be experienced.

The Kunst@IHS series has been taking place at the Institute for Advanced Studies since 2017 and contributes to the promotion of young artists. The current exhibition was again realized in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts and curated by Veronika Dirnhofer.
