Joint Economic Forecast

The goal of the Joint Economic Forecast is to analyze and predict trends in the global and German economies, providing insights that inform economic policy recommendations. Each report includes a detailed forecast for the current and upcoming year, along with a medium-term projection, and addresses a focus topic on pressing issues.

The Joint Economic Forecast is produced twice a year, in spring and fall, in collaboration with the following institutes and consortia:

  • RWI - Leibniz-Institute for Economic Research in cooperation with Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS)
  • Kiel Institute for the World Economy
  • Ifo Institute – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich in cooperation with KOF Swiss Economic Institute, ETH Zurich
  • Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) – Member of the Leibniz Association
