Priv.-Doz. Dr. Katharina Gangl is an Economic and Social Psychologist specializing in Behavioal Economics. She works as a Senior Researcher at IHS and is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Vienna. Previously, she held research and teaching positions at several international universities, most recently at the University of Göttingen.
Katharina's research focuses on how institutions can help foster cooperation and trust between people. She is particularly interested in how cooperative behavior can be promoted in the face of acute crises such as the climate crisis. Her applied quantitative research employs multi-method approaches, focusing on field experiments.
