  • Hannes Zenz has been working at IHS since 2005 and is currently a researcher in the research group Business Cycles, Growth and Public Finances. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. His research interests include input-output-analysis, energy economics and mobility. In his work, he integrates a diverse range of sectorally and regionally disaggregated data sources, which are often used to refine economic models in greater detail.

    His research frequently operates at the intersection of environmental economics and macroeconomics. He also contributed to developing Austria’s energy satellite account, which breaks down the energy sector within national accounts data. Additionally, he works with various economic models including input-output models at international, national, and regional levels, as well as agent-based macroeconomic models.
