  • Nora Haag joined IHS in 2018 and is Researcher in the research group Educational Structures & Educational Opportunities. She is currently enrolled in the doctoral program in Social and Economic Sciences (Sociology) at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU). Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Center for Health and Migration and at TNS Info Research Austria, as well as a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Work, Organizational and Media Psychology at JKU.

    Her research focuses on quantitative educational research, particularly on access to higher education and social inequality in education. She investigates how societal structures and individual social characteristics shape access to tertiary education and examines the effects of different selection mechanisms on educational opportunities. A key focus of her work lies in the analysis of educational transitions and trajectories, and the related inequalities of opportunity. Her research is grounded in quantitative methods, especially the analysis of extensive administrative data.
