Sarah Zaussinger is a Researcher at IHS since 2009. She studied Sociology at the University of Vienna from 2003 to 2009 and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program Social and Economic Sciences (Sociology) at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU).

Sarah’s research interests focus on higher education and the social situation of students including second-generation migrant students, gender differences and students with health-related impairments. For her doctoral thesis she analyzes the situation of second-generation migrants and their dropout intentions. With a focus on addressing gaps in higher education, she aims to contribute to a better understanding of inequalities by providing evidence-based findings.
