3rd Vienna Workshop on Economic Forecasting 2025
On June 5-6, 2025 the 3rd Vienna Workshop on Economic Forecasting will take place at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS), Josefstädter Strasse 39, 1080 Vienna, Austria.
The workshop welcomes contributions from different approaches to economic forecasting, including forecasts based on time series models (such as VAR, SVAR, factor models, etc.), DSGE models, large scale structural models, forecasting using microeconomic data, machine learning, as well as forecast evaluation.
The goal of this workshop is to exchange ideas and to discuss recent results and developments in economic forecasting. Authors working in either theory or applications of economic forecasting are invited to submit an extended abstract (or paper). The workshop comprises invited plenary lectures and contributed (oral and poster) presentations.
In conjunction with the workshop, the organizers will edit a special issue of the journal Empirical Economics, with submission open to all participants.
