Cordelia Menz joined IHS in July 2023 and is currently part of the Competence Center Survey Research. She has a background in Psychology (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Heidelberg University; exchange semesters at the University of Limerick and the University of Padua) and completed her PhD at Heidelberg University in 2021. Her professional experience includes roles as a researcher, lecturer, and team member of various research projects.

During her time at Heidelberg University, she contributed to projects about student selection, quality assurance, and misconceptions among pre-service teachers. Currently, she focuses on the living and study conditions of students in the European Higher Education Area. In the EUROSTUDENT project, she ensures that every step—from questionnaire development to data collection and final processing—is executed with precision and efficiency across about 25 countries. Her research interests additionally comprise evidence-based decision making, social inequalities, and discrimination experiences.
