Barbara Angleitner has been a Researcher at IHS since 2005 and is part of the research group Social Sustainable Transformation. She holds a Master (Commercial Science) from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a Doctorate (Intervention Research) from the Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Research and Education. Before joining IHS, she worked for many years in consulting for individuals and organizations as well as in teaching.

Her research interests focus on social sustainable transformation, especially on the impact of the energy transition, climate change and digitalization on health and well-being of vulnerable groups. In national and EU-projects Barbara primarily uses qualitative and participatory methods. Her work aims to generate practical and policy-relevant insights on the challenges and opportunities arising from transformative change.
