IHS Research Units

As of early 2025, IHS has reorganized its Research Units. The Institute's applied basic research and its impartial scientific policy advice on key economic and social issues will now have an even sharper focus. Each of the six Research Groups concentrates on a specific policy area:

• Economy and Finances
• Education
• Health
• Labor
• Social Affairs
• Innovation

The work of the Research Groups is supported by the Competence Center for Survey Research.

In addition, two Junior Research Groups are currently being set up—one focusing on Digitalization and Social Transformation, and the other on Skill Demand during Structural Change.
