The research group Educational Structures and Educational Opportunities combines general educational research with IHS's specialized expertise in higher education.

This enables the analysis of educational pathways and structural barriers that shape them—from early childhood through adulthood. The research group also measures individual and social returns on educational investments and analyzes how educational systems can be made more efficient and inclusive.
