The research group Social Sustainable Transformation investigates disruptive innovations and their influence on transformation processes from a social science and behavioral economics perspective. The focus is on framework conditions, social norms, acceptance, incentives and individual behavior as central factors of economic, social and ecological sustainability.

These are investigated using quantitative microdata-based analyses, qualitative and participatory methods, and experimental designs.
