About OEI
Öko-Institut is a leading European research and consultancy institute working for a sustainable future. Öko-Institut employs more than 125 staff, including more than 85 researchers at three locations in Germany – Freiburg, Darmstadt and Berlin. Based on value-oriented research, the institute provides consultancy for decision-makers in politics, industry and civil society. Our key clients are ministries and federal agencies, industrial enterprises and the European Union. In addition, the institute is commissioned by non-governmental organisations and environmental associations.
The Infrastructure & Enterprises Division has long-standing experience in working intensively and successfully on transport policy and transport emissions. The main research priorities of the division are: alternative drives and fuels, passenger transport, freight transport, aviation and maritime transport as well as the designing of transport policy measures.
